| Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to buy a small keyboard so that I
can send texts on my Nokia 6230i more easily than pressing the same key many
times to get the correct letter?

| If you mean whilst at home, then may I suggest a bluetooth dongle and
something like Oxygen Phone Manager. Works great....
But if you're meaning whilst out and about... not sure.
Thanks,
Glen.

| I've seen small bluetooth and infra red keyboards about(like the ones for
Palm pilots), I looked into it when I had a Nokia 3650, but never bought one
due to the expense. A quick look on the web found this :

This is a nice keyboard when used with a PDA or compatible smartphone,
however it doesn't work on my K750i (nor on the old T610) - the phone
sees it, communicates with it, then doesn't understand how to use it.
It's worth making sure that someone else has been successful with a 3650
before splashing out!

| There are some out there ( like
http://shop.brando.com.hk/btsmartkeyboard.php ), but they all seem to
be for smartphones, so I guess you're knackered.
One of those chatboards like old ericssons had (IIRC) seem to be what
you're after, but I've not seen them for nokias recently.

Have you tried to use predictive text?
Takes some getting used to but I find I can write a text very quickly now
without looking. Of comparable speed to that I type at (around 45wpm)
Certainly cheaper than another option and may be worth at least trying. The
Nokia 6230i has a sensbile keypad and you do just learn what letters are on
what keys. I'm very, very slow at the traditional multitap method you seem
to be using above.
