Advice please....

Orange have a few 3G PAYG phones which have just been reduced.
Will a standard sim card from a normal PAYG phone work in these?
I don't want the 3G features just the new handset.

not the most informative but some users have used a 2g sim in their 3g

I called into the Orange shop today and spoke with an assistant who told me
that this would work OK but obviously there would be no 3G services.

Thanks
