Don't tell me, you boot the bugger up and it's there on the left hand side
of the 'Today' screen?

This is the SPV m500 I'm talking about - the PDA smartphone.

Si.

The screenshots I've seen don't show it.

I've got both a Orange spv c500 and a m2000 in the house, both had some form
of Orange-ified home screen. However on both of them it has been possible to
switch it off and use the standard windows stuff. I've also got a T-Mobile
MDA pro which had a T-mobile-ified home screen. It is possible to switch
that off as well. So at a guess, I'd suspect that any HTC device will be
able to use the standard windows stuff.
