Up until a few weeks ago I had no problems with call quality on T-Mobile,
but just recently during 50% of the calls I make i have trouble hearing the
other person. It appears that they can hear me ok. Only seems to happen in
my home area (W.London)

Sometimes this happens at the start of the call (ring tone sounds distorted
while I'm waiting for the opther person to pickup), othertimes it happens
mid call.

Has anyone else had this sort of problem on T-Mobile?

T-Mobile say the local transmitter is OK, but friends who live closeby have
reported similar problems.

Cheers

Yes, in an area of Birmingham, the other person could hear me, I struggled to
hear them.

It is a problem with their transmitter, incoming and outgoing audio are
transmitted separately.

It took T-Mobile over 18 months to admit there was a problem and put it right
in my case. T-Mobile said the transmitter was OK, when it clearly wasn't.
I'd just get back on to them, and tell them you know of a previous case that
they tried to deny was a fault, and took over 18 months to put it right.
T-Mobile just don't care anymore about their customers.

Fortunately we have 5 networks to chose from, so if you don't like the
service from one you can get your PAC and move to another. No point sticking
around with a network that doesn't work, especially if they don't
acknowledge the problem and there is no fix in sight.

You mean like Orange, the largest, most successful network to date in the
UK?

(Seeing that Orange got where they are 10 years ahead of Vodafone or Cellnet
(or is that O2?? LOL!).

Correction:

4 1/2 networks. More than 50% of the time my 3 phone is roaming on O2.

You should know, as you are notorious for it.
