I ordered on Orange K750i from them and I specifically asked them not
to include insurance and what happens? I had insurance which I
cancelled with Orange.

I also found that the Direct Debit details they took from me for
setting up Orange monthly charges was used to set up their own monthly
insurance I had not asked for! They insisted that they had told me
about this. I had a difficult time canceling this insurance. I suppose
one can refuse to pay and it will get cancelled automatically.

Nasty salesmanship.

Moral of the story and moral of this newsgroup is to not use OSPS.
(see Dejanews for catalogue of disasters with OSPS)

Naah, it won't get cancelled, they will simply keep adding it to your
debt and then tell Equifax you've fallen behind in your payments.

and you base this comment on what ? personal experience, just some gossip
you have heard or perhaps something else.

It's based on a mix of personal experience of OSPS' customer care
attitude and experience of other companies when I did indeed try to get
the attention of otherwise unresponsive customer care by withholding
payment.

You're right: I should have clarified that I have never specifically
tried to withhold payment from OSPS; however they have told me that the
issue I had with their order was my problem and I should sort it out
with Vodafone, I think it was reasonable to extrapolate.

Just to contradict this comment - I got a polite letter from them
confirming that my insurance was cancelled as I had requested. Maybe
things have changed.
