I'm thinking of getting this, but was wondering what phones run the software
and is it worth getting...?!?

TIA.

I run it on a nokia 6630 and find it very good
I understand it will also run on 6680 and 6600 as well as orange spv
c500.
Apparantly it unable to run correctly on the new spv c550 at the moment.

Yes it's worth getting, but the latest version (5) seems to have a
lot of problems (or so I have heard). I use version 3 and it's fine
- other than new maps (how often do roads move?), there's nothing
that the new version does that 3 doesn't (or that I need anyway).
If you can get version 3 anywhere then it may be a better buy.

As far as phones go - not sure which Symbian phones run it, but all
Windows Smartphones will - I used to use an Orange SPV-C500 - thats
the same as the T-Mobile SDA. I have now changed and use a T-Mobile
MDA Compact (same as the Imate Jam/Orange M500/etc) and it also
works great on that.

Are you saying the MDA compact is running the TomTom mobile software or have
you bought a Pocket PC version?

Sorry - confusing way TomTom name their software. I used TomTom
Mobile on the C500 and TomTom Navigator Version 3 on the MDA.

Thanks for that, I am thinking of changing from a C500 to a M500, can you
tell me is the MDA as loud with TomTom as the C500?

Nick.

I think so - can't tell you for certain as I never used them
both at the same time, but in any case, the MDA is perfectly
loud enough for me. I assume that the M500 will be equally as
loud (neither the C500 or the MDA are/were as loud as my Dell
Axim X50v though).

I have TTM 5 and have no problems. It can search the full 6/7 digit UK
postcode which I believe the earleir ones cant. It also has newe map
data. I use it on a 6630.
