Are you sure they have enabled Push to Talk on there, as none of the Series
60 phones support it? You are talking about Talk Now, right?

Well, Orange's version of it. As far as I am aware, it only runs on the
Treo 600, the 650 and a Sagem with a stupid model number that I can't
remember. Without the proper client (which has not been released for Series
60) you can't use it. Mind you, unless you know anybody else who has the
service, you can't use it anyway.

Err, you do realise Nokia have available on their website, a Push to
Talk application for the Nokia 6680?

Well saying Orange hasn't released a version for S60 is different to
saying S60 doesn't support PTT>

It is available for some hs (the Treo's, as stated above), but I'm not sure
that it's working for that model.
do you know anyone else with a push to talk handset ? if your not getting
anything out of it ?
It's 12p a min to use and this will not come out of your talkplan.. so do
you really need it ?

Are you talking about the Orange version of the software, or Nokia's own
version?

Not yet I don't know anybody... but 12p a min for leaving a couple of
short messages here and there sounds good... cheaper than a text and
should get more words across.

Sounds like a gimmick that won't get taken up though.

I installed the nokia PTT client and its asking for server details etc which
I have no idea about.

Does anyone know if there is a talk now client ? or is it specifically
built into the trio

The Nokia client is written for a different standard from the one Orange
uses, so installing the Nokia client is not going to help. As Orange have
yet to launch a Talk Now client to work on the Series 60 phones, it won't
work with your 6680.

The client itself is not built into the Treo, but is installed as a seperate
application - the phone runs PalmOS after all. The client for the Sagem
handsets is built into the phones firmware and cannot be updated by either
the user or an Orange store.

Not in mobiles, no. They are years behind, and always have been.
