I have a cool ringtone (Brass Bonanza, the Hartford Whalers NHL hockey
team fight song) that I downloaded to my desktop as an mp3. How do I
download it and get it working as a ringtone on my Motorola v3.

Thanks.

Very easy

Install phone tools that comes with the phone.

Once installed use the usb cable and plug usb into pc and small end in your
phone after a while phone tools will see you phone and then copy from pc to
phone side of phone tools.

Just make sure the mp3 file is not too large.

Good luck

Yahoo e-mail using my cell and opened an e-mail with the mp3 attachment
but couldnt highlight the mp3.

Motorola phone management software. It comes with the V3 an a CD in the
box.

From your use of the word "cell" are you from across the pond? In that
case you might not have got the software or the cable, as package
contents may vary depending region of sale.

If you buy a V3 in the UK from a legitimate source, you will get the USB
data cable and a CD of software.

Sort of. It is a product from a company called something like BVRP and
the version Motorola supply is a cot-down one.

I don't know the exact difference. BVRP sent me a review copy of the
software, but it was only an evaluation (times out) version, so I
didn't install it.
