No, the 8210 and 3210 should be able to accept an ACP-12 charger, but
you could check on the Nokia site if you're still worried.
I've used the faster Nokia chargers on many older Nokias without problems.

The answer to the question is actually quite complicated. In seems that
different types of batteries (Lithium, NiMHd and so on) benefit from
different charging profiles and charging currents:
http://www.buchmann.ca/faq.asp
In terms of safety there almost certainly isn't an issue with using a
slightly higher current but in terms of battery longevity there may well be.
The 3210 will certainly sometimes reject the offer of a charge from the
ACP-12 charger and will tell you this (via an error message whose exact
wording I am unable to recall).
The FAQ book cited above is a fantastic source of info on all manner of
questions associated with rechargeable batteries.

To be honest I've stuck with the old style square acp-7 charger for all my
phones, I think it charges it more gently and it lasts longer, could be
psychological, but a slow charge wont do any harm from what i've read,
whereas a fast charge on a slow-type lithium battery sounds like a bad idea.
Charging a phone overnight or for 3.5 hours instead of 1.5 hours is okay for
me.
