| Just got this e-mail from a Market research company...
"We are looking for 100 x 16-50 year olds (men and women) who own a VIRGIN
mobile phone to take part in a new mobile phone trial.
You will be given a new mobile phone for 3 months.
The phone will have TV & digital radio on it etc.
This phone is your incentive plus you will be given £30 a month of calls
credited to the phone and the telly/radio services will be free."
So Maybe soon we will see tv phones!

We've got them already haven't we ? Orange have a "tv" service on the
6680, which I think is done through mobitv (http://www.mobitv.com/)
who also do "tv" for mobile phones in the US. I would expect the
Virgin mobile "tv" service to also be provided by mobitv (or similar),
rather than a phone with a built in terrestrial (or DAB) receiver in
it.

What FOR..?!
All I want to do with a phone is make/receive phone calls. Am I *that*
strange..?!
I don't want to make phone calls on my TV, why would I want to watch TV on
my phone..?!
The mind boggles.

Why on earth not? Seems like a fantastic idea, for all those occasions the
phone disappears ;-)

So CNN I was watching on mine the other day must have been my
imagination? I think you'll find Orange have had this for a few
months. I just wish they'd add the terrestrial channels and sort out
the picture and sound quality which is dire.

Bizarrely the Virgin service does appear to be DAB based. I can see
the listings for Sky News etc within the Digital 1 multiplex.

Nope i don't. I would give you the name but seeing as its only 100 its one
most likely been filled up and secondly
im sure they wont want hundreds of calls from random people. Rules say You
must live and work in the M25 too
so lots of people here counted out.
Thanks

I occasionally get these invitations myself - I think the last one I had was
for owners of Nokia Series 60 smartphones (I had a 7610 at the time).
They must think I still work in the phone business!!
