Orange online upgrades

| It looks like Orange are finally doing proper upgrades online, as opposed to
the previous 'someone will call you back' approach.
Went to the upgrade section of the webshop, logged into my account and it
tells me what phones they'll offer me and at what price.
Couple of questions;
1. I assume they sign me up for another 12 month contract and not 18 months,
as seems the way all networks are evetually heading for.
2. Will I get a better deal by phoning retentions? Not that I really need one
as i'm currently on 120min 30txt for £15 and they'll give me a free K750i.
3. Any idea how much a W800i upgrade is likely to cost and when it will be
available?
4. Anyone got any idea when they will have K750i stock? Been out of stock
since last week.

| Orange have changed their upgrade system in the past week, hence the
online improvements. There are now 5 bands for upgrades, based on your
usage over the past year. Handset prices will be determined by that.
Contracts are 12 months, or 18 months if you opt for the 6 month double
talk/text 'loyalty' offer.
W800 stock is still limited, and available only for new connections at
present. It shoul be available for upgrades next month.

I just upgraded my wife's phone, upgrades considered her a low user (as
spend on her phone is about 20 quid per month) and wanted 99 quid for a
black V3. Retentions looked at the account overall (about 150 quid/mth) and
sent it free, and asked whether I would like a new one too (mine's not up
until october) - unfortunately there's little to tempt me away from my P910
just now, unless I get a blackberry for email and a 3G phone for voice /
data, which isn't gonna happen until there's a decent, small, well featured
3G phone with long battery life!
