Author onestopphoneshop - my order not cancelled

I cancelled an order weeks ago with this company (the phone i ordered
was out of stock...of course they never bothered to tell me, i just had
to keep phoning).

I didnt trust them so I phoned at least 4 times to confirm the
cancellation - They kept saying that they couldnt write to confirm the
cancellation or email or fax or even phone!

Having been assured that it had been fully cancelled ... yesterday the
phone turned up via courier. It wasnt even on the right contract! What
a bunch of camel lovers!

Not only that but they had signed me up for their 'care' service which
meant I had to pay them 6 quid so that i could speak to someone in case
I didnt know how to use my phone (of course I'd be speaking to one of
their monkeys)! and another 5 quid for insurance (which I didnt ask for
too).

So now I've got to:
1. Cancel the direct debits with my bank.
2. Cancel the insurance with them (oh ... joy)
3. Cancel their superb 'care' (oh ... more joy)
4. Cancel the contract with Orange
5. Cancel the contract with them (again - and of course they'll cancel
it this time wont they).
6. Return the phone (and hope they refund me - but I'll probably end up
paying more for the phone calls in getting my refund).
.... And possibly something else.

I dont have time for this rubbish and I'm really annoyed. I'm looking
at around at least half a day to sort this. I've already ordered from
Orange - They sent me a confirmation on order, confirmation on delivery
and given me a free number in case I have problems. Plus theyre human.

I'm writing this to warn you that if you think youve cancelled your
contract you might want to think again - because theyre totally
incompetent. Of course theyre only doing this because they think they
can get away with it.

Believe me, if all goes well they'll pass you like a gust of strong air
in the open country. But if things go wrong ... they'll pass you like a
stranger whos dropped one in a lift and theres no stopping till you get
to the top floor .... and then when the lift stops the door jams.

Regards
CP

If you had cancelled the 'phone why did you accept the delivery????

i didnt say i accepted the deilvery - someone else at my address did -
thinking i'd ordered something.
of course even if i didnt accept the delivery i still would have gone
through all the hassle of trying to contact them ... cancel ddebits
etc.
....the lift is going up ... and it stinks
