Copying satnav software to media card (C500)
|
|
|
| I'm thinking of buying some satnav software on eBay. This is normally
supplied on DVD so I would need to copy this to a media card (mini SD in the
case of the C500).
Obvious question but how is this done? Does the media card show up as a
separate drive on active sync or do you use some other type of software?

I guess you put the DVD into PC and run the setup program. It will invoke
ActiveSync, which it will use to get itself onto your C500. You should be
presented with a choice of wich location (phone or miniSD) you would like to
install the software and the maps.
I've not used the C500, but that's how satnav software worked on to my
ActiveSync PDA. It can't be too much different can it?
