Vodafone Passport Nonsense

| If you add Vodafone Passport to a contract\deal bought on-line from
Vodafone's website they change your contract to the 'Perfect Fit'
equivilent.
You loose your 1/2 price line rental and any other on-line incentives (like
the additional SMS) and they dont even have the decency to tell you that
they will do that.
How do I know this? I got my 1st bill and phoned Vodafone CS and was told
"You changed your tarriff"..... but I only added Vodafone Passport (for
Holiday use) in response to the TV adverts which state you can have the
benefit as a contract or PAYG customer. Seems the small print in the T+C's
for Passport state its only on 'Perfect Fit' so they change your tarriff if
you request Passport. Problem is they dont tell you what you are losing in
the process and I reckon they are in breach of contract as they have changed
the terms and conditions without any written or verbal notification.
This really is sillyness and hopefully Vodafone will sort this nonsense out
soon otherwise they will be plauged with lots of very irate customers who
will quite rightly regard this as a con.

Yep same problem here, except that I was lucky enough to be warned by CS rep
that that was what Voda were going to do and then refused the (until then)
attractions of Voda passport ......... grrrr....... why is nothing in life
ever as simple as it sounds

| Yes they have a 75p minimum charge per call but its still worth it as
overall you save compared to the standard roaming tariffs.
I got my problem sorted by a fabulous Offshore CSA. She knew about the
problem and applied a discount to the line rental and reintsated my
inclusive texts with a data bundle equivilent. I also got to retain my
Passport.
Brilliant!!
Just proves that there are very different standards of service provided by
customer service specialists Offshore and that proper training and
empowerment ensures that customers can get the solutions they require.
