Author code restriction?

Hello my sister has a Nokia 3510i bought on orange payg, me and my mother
are on Virign Mobile so thought its silly my sis being on Orange and bought
her a Virgin payg sim card but when putting it in phone comes up with "code
restriction" and like a good en my sis has binned the original box and
manual! as I hoped code would be in here.
Can anyone help?

Yes, the 3510i is SIM locked to Orange. I think they will unlock these
days for about 20 quid, but that might not be for PAYG phones.

Otherwise one of the many independent unlockers will be able to sort it
out or you could even generate a code from one of the online calculators
or download the software to do it.

See www.unlockme.co.uk for some links, or www.uselessinfo.org.uk also
has some.

Note that you get 5 attempts with a Nokia DCT4 phone, after that a cable
unlock is needed.

You need to enter the code(s) when powering on the phone without a SIM
or with the Virgin SIM in it. For Orange I think code 1 and 5 are
needed, but code 7 should also work. the p and w are entered using
multiple presses of the * key, 3 times for p and 4 times for w

3510is can be unlocked for few, just do a search on Google for free Nokia
unlock. I have done 3 this was and one of them was on Virgin, takes about 5
minutes.
