| Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew if this would be feasible...
- I ported over to Orange a few months ago and got a K700i, then last month
the K750i came out and I thought it sounded much better (which it is! :-D) -
I therefore took out a 2nd Orange contract and got the K750i on it (I sold
the old phone on eBay).
- So I've now got my 'main' phone number on the SIM that I've put into my
K750i. I've then got the new SIM card that came with the K750i spare. Both
these contracts are on YP200.
- My Mum is also on Orange and is on OVP Virgin - bills averaging about
£10-£15/mo
- Would it be possible to (a) port my Mum's number out to another network
(closing her OVP Virgin account with Orange) and then (b) port it back into
Orange on my spare YP200 contract? That way she'd make use of my spare free
minutes (I've already got a free Nokia 7600 on 3 through e2save with 12
months free line rental, so I've got more spare minutes than I know what to
do with!). My main concern is that the name & address on the account would
obviously be different - does this matter at all when porting, or do they
only care about the mobile number and matching PAC?
- Last of all - any recommendations as to who would be the cheapest/easiest
to port to/from? I've got some spare O2 PAYG SIM cards (from their freebie
offer) but it seems that most people use Virgin. Presumably they would all
require some form of credit to be made to the a/c - I know O2's minimum is
£10.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers
Alan
