Author phones4u contract buyback?

Hey,

I noticed recently that phones4u offer to buy your 12 month contract off you
after you've had it for at least 6 months; and they'll give you a highly
decent new phone, and an even better offer than what you're with at the
moment, with a cheque etc also thrown in.

Seems very good, I guess the only downside is that you'd have to change your
mobile number (i think?). Anybody went with this? I read the T&C's, and it
does just seem very genuine. As long as you're not going to them with a £75
a month contract after 6 months of having it then they'll probably buy it
back.

I've only got a few weeks to go till an upgrade, and would rather stick with
o2 directly; but I take it they rely on the commission o2 pay them for
opening a new conract?

Any info appreciated, cheers.
