| When I pass shops and they say "SIM card £3" presumably that is for an
unlocked pay as you talk mobile?
Also, when they give you the option of 02, Virgin, etc, is this so
people can chose the call charges that they want?
Or is there something more here that I don't get?
Thanks.

No. The SIM card is a little 'chip' which fits into a mobile, not the
mobile itself.

There are a number of different firms offering mobile services. They have
different terms of service.

No just what it says a Sim Card not a mobile phone. Sim Card has call and
Phone number info on. Sim Card goes in a mobile phone.

Yes the SIM is for you to put into your own PAYG mobile phone. Or they will
usually sell you a package if you want (depending on the shop)
Yes, O2, Virgin, Vodafone etc all have different prices from eachother, but
even within that they have different prices - so Vodafone may have 2
different price plans as may T Mobile etc (they are called tariffs)
