I bought a nokia 6230 in January this year from the carphone warehouse, the
original developed & fault & the handset was replaced.
a few weeks ago a fault developed with the replacement,it went away for
'repair' (incidentally it came back with a mark on the screen & lots of dust
behind the screen).
the same fault recurred within 2 weeks & its now away again,I don't trust
the phone now,am I entitled to just ask for my money back?

I had a VK530 given at Christmas - nothing but trouble, wouldn't hold a
charge or phone numbers - Vodafone were useless, sent it away twice for
repair, wanted to send it away a third time and I refused. No joy from the
shop or the helpline, just going round in circles with no luck, they
wouldn't give me my money back or replace it.
In the end I packed it up with a letter detailing its history and posted it
recorded delivery addressed to the Managing director of Vodafone.
They were on the phone to me within 48 hours apologising and offering me a
replacement phone of my choice.

| Talk to trading standard and the new customer watch helpline (sorry
forgotten the name) It's less than one year old, so they should replace it
again.

How long have you had the phone for? Was it bought SIM free or with a
network connection?
Assuming there is no insurance on this handset, it will need to be sent off
again for repair, my advice would be to take it to an Express Repair Centre
store (i.e. a store with an engineer on site). If after the handset comes
back with the exactly the same fault (what is the fault btw?) then you
should have grounds for a replacement.
Hope this helps.
