Cancelled my BT mobile contract today, as the 1st anniversary of the £4.99
per month offer was coming up. It was easy enough, friendly operator,
though they didn't offer much resistance . .e.g., offers to stay on!
But when I called a week ago, the op said they were hugely busy with people
cancelling, and they had taken on an extra 20 people to cope. And their
computer system didn't allow any advance cancellation, I had to call back on
the day I wanted to cancel. How odd.

The BTm offer was a fantastic deal, and I had the free WAP settings too, so
now I'm going back to my Orange Vm number, it'll feel like paying for calls
again :-(

Maybe my hunt for the best deal will begin again . . .

Same here - although even almost a year of free GPRS was pretty crap on
a T610. Now I'm on an Orange PAYG while I'm hunting for a good deal.
Pity Cillit Bang or whatever his name is on paternity leave right now -
that's where I heard about the original BTM deal.

BTW: I wouldn't post with a real email address if I were you as you'll
get spammed to hell and back.
