Hello

I use the software and codes on a 7600, did not get rid of the three
branding, but worked ok.

I am getting a Nokia 6630 locked on three, and I understand on the forums
that these can not be unlocked as they are a new generation.

Can anyone tell me.

1. can they be locked with software
2. Do I or can I get it unlocked/reflashed at a market shop??

The only way to get it done ( Apart from sending it to Dejan ) is a code
from 3, the only problem is you have to be the original owner/register of
the handset ( no good if your buying it secondhand ) and 3 want to charge
around £120 for the honor giving you the code.
if its a new phone your getting and you have a choice of networks then an
orange one will cost you about £20-£25 for the unlock code. Hope that helps
ya a bit.

Dejan was one of the first developers of a flashing solution for Nokia
handsets. He's rumoured to have an unlocking solution for BB5 handsets
which isn't available to end users (he only deals in large quantities) and
if you want to buy it you'll need very deep pockets (rumours of figures in
the hundreds of thousands of pounds).

He is the man who invented unlocking. Full name Dejan Kaljevic.
