Author Disabling voicemail and text alerts?
John

Hi. I have a Nokia N70 on Vodafone contract.

Does anyone know how I can disable voicemail and all the text alerts
it keeps sending me whenever someone leaves a message?

Are there any settings so you can just reject all calls without them
going to voicemail? And is it possible to also set it up so that you
can have it on voicemail, but so that voicemail doesn't call you or
text you about the missed calls?

Thanks

John

Yes, call Vodafone and get them to turn off voicemail.

To completely disable voicemail type ##002# and call and a "diverts
cancelled message should appear"

If you do not want the alerts saying if someone rang you and did not leave a
message call #148#

Or if you just do not want voicemail to call you to notify you of messages
there are different options to choose from the voicemail menu by calling
121.

Though most UK providers now force divert to voicemail no matter how
many times you cancel it via menu or 002 method.

You will need to call up your provider and either ask for them to
completely cancel divert to voicemail, or as I have done get them to set
it so you can switch it on and off as required.

Dial 1210 to switch off, 1211 to switch back on (there are other
settings to be alerted by a ring rather than text etc)

Yes. Go into the voicemail options and select "no alert".

On your handset select "cancel all diverts".
