Looking through my bill today got me wondering; do Orange give you 50
off-peak minutes per day, or do they give you 1500 off-peak minutes per
month?

Per day IIRC.

50 a day. They don't roll over.

Well that's what I thought, but the bill says 1500 minutes (last
month)), and as I've carried over 1 minute (dropped call), it says this
month I've got 1551 minutes this month.

If it's per day (as I believed it would be), which day do I get my extra
minute on?

I'm guessing this is a minute not carried over but credited as part of
Orange's network performance promise - you know, one of those things they
brought in back when Orange was actually an innovator.

I think it goes towards the first applicable (ie off-peak, on net) call you
make.

Benedict.

Yep I agree, that's the way it worked with ED50 on L2 for me.

I am surprised their Network Performance Promise hasn't been simplified
yet. Does it still apply to new connecitons?

This question has been bugging me for ages, always wondered where them
extra minutes went, glad someone knows the answer.

Interestingly the 150 automated system which give your free minutes
balance was updated recently, and gives the free minutes now as per/day
rather than per/month, as it should on ED50, so should be able to check
for these extra minutes on my billing date, I'll wait and see.

ISTR than ED50 never worked very well on the "remaining minutes"
system.
