| This is probably a stupid qustion but how much of a nightmare would it
likely to be swapping SIM's between phones?
I use a 6230 for work (which I have to use, has Netmon on it) but am using a
3g SIM in it.
I want (while not working) the functionality of a 3g phone and have my eye
on a k800i.
What I was thinking of doing was swapping the SIM from the 6230 and k800i as
and when needed, which would no doubt be once a day.
Would this damage the SIM or either phones in any-way after long term use.
I have seen the 16 in 1 SuperSim's that can clone a SIM but these only work
on GSM cards rather than U-SIMS.
Any thoughts, or are there any other options.
Footnote:
I would consider 6630/6680 etc and put Netmon on them but its crap for GSM
testing.
I would also consider TEMS Pocket for the K800i, but that costs more than my
house.
Thanks, S

To remove the SIM on the k800i one end has to be lifted slightly putting
a slight flex on the card. Not sure what this would do long term

Phones aren't really designed to have the sim card swapped
every day so you'll probably start having problems, the
k800i whilst a fabulous phone, is a PITA to get the sim card
out of as well, especially if you don't have any nails like
me!

What can you do with the 6230 with Netmon that you can't do with the
6630/6680 with FTD? The display is much better on the larger 6630/6680
screen plus you have 3G Netmon facilities.
Most engineers give up with FTD on Symbian phones because they can't
make a call when FTD is in the foreground display and they haven't
read the manual. You need to press the red phone key, make a test call
then hold down the blue menu button to bring back FTD. All works fine
then, including BCCH locking /BTS_TEST on page 1.12. with a little
dec/hex conversion.

The SIMs will wear out eventually, and the pins on the SIM holder in the
phone will eventually lose their spring and fail to make proper contact.
