I remember extending the phones sim contacts on an SL45 years ago. The
metal was pivotted and sprung and so so slimsy. The thought of thinned
superglue flowing inside then the solvent evaporating and resolidifying
i guess would bugger the phone, by gluing bits solid and acting as an
insulator on the contacts.

Also "customers prefer sims glued in" where did that come from?!?!?

Was there not also some EU directive that said phones had to be cheaply
unlocked at the end of their minimum term too, so would this
effectively not make a farce of this?
