Do a search on ebay.

I got a Virgin Australia SIM card for a fiver delivered to the UK.

It allowed my to tell my friends and relatives my number before
leaving.

When I got to Australia, I registered the SIM on the phone. giving my
hotel as the address.

The offer at the time was AU$ 20 free credit put on the SIM. (Roughly a
tenner)
so the card was effectively free.

I bought two of these and it covered all the calls/texts made in my
four week holiday.

A bargain IMHO

i put $30 credit, which gave me $120 worth of

minute back to the uk
