SD to Mini SD converters?
|
|
|
| I've just bought an MDA Vario, and am now thinking of buying a satnav
system with an SD card for the maps... only problem being the Vario
only has a Mini SD reader.
Soooooo...
Does anyone know of a place that does SD to Mini SD converters? (or
something that will read SD and plug into the Mini USB port...)
BB
(PS, either something that'll read SD, or read Compact Flash would be
good too...)

| If you have a card reader you can load the cards contents to the PC -
then send it to the phone via its sync cable.

That's doing things the other way round to what the OP is asking for.

There are plenty of Mini SD to SD converters around but I don't know if
anything exists to do the opposite. Unless you can find a Tardis like
device the result will be bigger than the just the mini SD card so you'd
have to make sure it would fit.
Also note that many USB ports on mobile devices are a "device" type
whereas a USB reader needs "host" support. I don't know if the Vario has
host support.
Steve.
