A wholesaler told a friend who is looking into setting up a mobile
phone business that if a customer cancels within 14 days the Retailer
loses their commission which is fair enough but not only that they have
to pay the full price for the returned phone to the Network. Is that
the case?

Thanks.

No, the retailer sends the cancelled handset back to the supplier for
credit. The retailer also has to obtain some sort of reference number
for the return though, Orange call it an RA number. Without the RA
number you won't get credit for the handset.

Thanks Jon, I will pass that on. It's nice to see someone can answer an
honest question without resorting to petty insults.
