Unlock Nokia 6310i
|
|
|
| Hi,
The mobile phone given to me by my company is a Nokia 6310i. The company has
changed the mobile phone company it uses from Vodaphone to T-Mobile. I have
been supplied a new T-Mobile SIM card to fit to the phone. When powering on
the phone with the new SIM card in,the phone asks for a Security Code:. This
I don't have. Is it possible for the phone to be unlocked. The other point
to add is that a previous employer of the company used to have the phone
before me.
Thanks

Yes, this moel is unlocked easily by most unlockers ... that is of course if
it's asking you for an unlock code and not the PIN for the SIM

No, the phone is asking for the Security Code that is neither of those.
Nokia default is 12345, but the fact that the phone code has been
enabled for change of SIM means it is likely that the code was changed too.
The OP needs to ask the previous user for the code, but if it is lost
then it can be reset with the right kit such as UFS or similar hardware.

It may simply be that the phones security is set so it does not accept a
new sim without the code. I have set all my Nokia phones that way. The
default Nokia code is 12345, but it may well have been reset - but no
harm in trying.

| Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I've just tried the default code 12345. This has still not enabled the
phone to work with the new SIM.
The guy who had the phone before me has long since left the company, so
there is no chance of finding the code.
It looks like I'm going to have to try and find someone to unlock the phone
Thanks again.

If you connect the 6310i to a computer using infrared or bluetooth, you
can display the security code using a trial copy of LogoManager and
Nkprofile, or LogoManager Pro Suite. This assumes you can install a SIM
which the phone has previously accepted.

Nope, logomanager with nkprofile won't read DCT4 nokia security code,
but software like fbus by maestro will reset early DCT4 like a 6310i back to
default 12345
use with a dau9 dualbus datalead
