| just got the n80 on orange, it continually keeps giving me out of
memory errors after a few pages or keeps quiting back to the phones
main screen :(
anyone else gettin these probs or is it just mine?
gotta say if it was not for this it would be great, but i think i am
gonna return it and get a vario.

Mine does that too (also on Orange) but it usually browses fine after a
reboot.

Haven't had much problems with mine. Occassionally does it, but reboot
sorts it. There's a firmware update available for it from a Nokia Service
Centre that may sort it (one of the bullets is that it frees up another
2MB of RAM for programs).

Mine did that. It also did clever things like running out of memory
after doing nothing for 6 hours - or whenever it felt like it.
I wasn't that impressed with the build quality either.
I sent it back - most dissapointing.

Are Orange still installing their abomination to the front screen,
making any kind of custom wallpaper impossible?

No, thank god! There's some icons for Calender, Messaging and such like but
even these can be turned off if you wish.

Hold down the menu button for a couple of seconds to see a list of
applications you have open in the background. This is prob why you have
memory problems. Just use the 'c' cancel button to close each one down and
you'll be fine.
