Difference between SE750i & W800i

| Think of getting one of these. I've looked at the specs and there doesn't
seem a great deal of difference between these two phones. I prefer the look
of the k750i?
Is there anything I should know about the differences. Relaibility etc????

Essentially the same phone (same hardware)
The K750i has a smaller memory card (64Mb rather than 512Mb) but can be
upgraded
Aesthetic properties
The W800i has a more advanced walkman ... but teh K750i can always be
upgraded to a W800i
I have the K750i, with a 512Mb memory card and have flashed the firmware. So
essentially I have a W800i in a K750i body

May be worth getting the W810i
Looks very nice ... and SE seems to have fixed the joystick so it will not
go wrong as often - essentially the same phone though (just a few little
bits)

The w800 can be used without having the phone-part of the unit switched on,
ie: you can't receive phone calls. Which is perhaps a good thing if you're
really gonna utilise it as a music player.

I was facing the same dilemma a few months ago, just before the 810 came
out. I thought it looked great apart from one serious flaw; no camera lens
cover. This was enough to rule it out for me.
I eventually went for the 750 over the 800 because:
a) I could get a 750 and a 1G memory card for little difference in price to
a 800 with it's 512M card
b) 750 looks classy, 800 looks grim with all it's little spots!

Which you can have on the K750i if you have it flashed with the W800i
firmware.
As has been said, Phones are the same, cases, supplied memory card and
software are different. If you unlock and flash the K750i, the only
difference is the outside casing, plus, I think the headphone socket?
Get the K750i, get it unlocked and flashed and stick a 1GB card in it.

Do you lose the shortcuts button if you flash the K750->W800?

Yes, since the W800 doesn't have it.

Yeah, but the up joystick can then be redifiened to mimic the shortcut menu
So instead of losing the shortcut key, you just use one of your shortcut
arrows and remap a key, if that makes sense
So not as bad
