Three unlocked my Nokia 6680 :-)

| Hi all,
I've had my 6680 for over a year so I phoned 3 up for the unlock code. They
said the couldn't provide it as I hadn't purchased it directly from them
(I'd got it through OneStopPhoneShop so it said CPW on their system). I
phoned back again and got the same story. I tried yet again and got a lady
who didn't ask where I'd bought it from and took my card details to pay the
£15 fee. She didn't guarantee success. She just said she'd pass my phone and
IMEI details onto their technical department and if they had the code then
they would provide it. Otherwise, they'd refund me payment. That was a few
days ago and 3 phoned me back today with the unlock code!
The code worked first time with no problems except that the has obviously
still got the 3 firmware so it defaults to 3G even though my Orange sim
won't work with 3G. My O2 sim is 3G enabled though so it works fine.
I'm off now to hunt down firmware hacks. I just thought I'd share my success
story with others. Don't give up if 3 say it's not possible!
Cheers, Jiffy

Thanks for the heads up. I did a wee search and found it. It's working a
peach. When I find my USB cable I might have a try at updating the firmware.
