I think it is actually something like O2 500, which if you take an 18 month
contract will double up your minutes 'for life' and is

O2 500 £35 500 Yes 100 text or 25 Picture / Video Messages or a
combination Yes Free ITS rates

O2 1000 is supposed to cost £75 per month (oddly more than double), and even
more oddly O2 250 is also £35pcm.

Catches.

Well this is O2 and their willingness to specifically perform contracts they
have entered into has been much discussed in this group.

If you are already on O2 you may have trouble migrating in your number, even
if already a direct customer.

"Inclusive cross net" may nevertheless turn out not to include some net's
e.g '3', Dolphin etc.

Inclusive UK calls may nevertheless turn out not to include calls to
national rate, localine or even freephone numbers (08xx) in the UK. Also
beware of new number ranges (020X and 05xx (VOIP)), which might be excluded
accidentally or intentionally.

If O2 think you have too good a deal you may not be able to use new features
(as on my retained Anytime 75/200 line advance deal) or more competitive
pricing (e.g. on international).

Their data allowance is IMHO tiny and more costs £££.

If you run out of inclusive minutes you may have reason to question the
accuracy of their billing.
and
if you want an itemised bill you may have to pay, although in my case there
have been so many incidents the bills magically appear without charge.

Sometimes their months may be magically as long as five weeks (e.g. over
Xmas), but your renewal may occur sooner than you expect. Somehow my
contract renewal and billing dates are on different days of the month
(perhaps February had 25 days in my first year...)

Their standards of their customer service has been much discussed in this
group.

If there is a problem O2 may be reluctant do anything about it or refund
money improperly taken. I once had to resort to a draft small claims
summons faxed to their Slough HQ .

For many reasons above try and make sure that regular payment is made by
direct debit NOT by continuous credit card authority, since you can never
countermand the latter.

and there is still plenty of space for other posters...
