O2 phones - still unlocked?
|

A Googling suggests that no O2 contract phones were locked to the network
as recently as October 2005. Is this still the case?
I want to eBay an upgrade and would rather not crack the box to check
whether it's locked or not. A couple of calls to O2 themselves has proved
pretty fruitless (how can they not know?) because I was just advised to
'try it and see'.
It's a Nokia 6131, if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

I have not found any O2 _contract_ phones to be locked to that network.
Indeed, a recently obtained 6230i and other network SIM's work in it fine,
via a Ghost SIM.

Thankyou, that's all I need to know.
