I never found any catches.
I upgraded to this tariff from as my 12 month contract ended. It's actually
called o2 online 500 talker (you can choose o2 online 500 texter tariff).
I just called o2 (0870) upgrades. I've always found they answer within a
few rings :)
It took 6 minutes from start to finish to upgraded and change to this
tariff.
You can choose either a 2/2.5g or a 3G phone.
At the moment 1 voice minute is 1 video call minute, so in effect you can
video call someone for upto a 1,000 minutes within your calling plan.
I voice call mostly 3 network phones - they are included.
New upgraded phone arrived by DHL day after ordering (ordered 12.45 day
before).
Calling 0870 (online CS) is included in your calling plan, I think their's
a 0800 number for o2 CS - this is given on the SayNoTo0870 website.
In a nutshell (for me at least) everything went without one hitch - I was
and am very impressed with o2 (to-date) and can't fault them.
Hope this helps
