Thanx encoderX and to all else who replied. It seems quite a generous offer
on a reliable network. I used to be on Online OffPeak 500, so I am familiar
with the customer service issues.

I changed to the 3 network. For the most part it was okay, but when phoning
someone a fair distance away and the weather is bad, the line can drop.

I also like O2's 08 numbers being inclusive in the free minutes.

I think I'll probably give it a go.
