Author Can anyone recommend a tarrif to me?

Currently on Orange with VT500 price matched and the £4 Orange World
data package.

I'd like about the same number of cross-net minutes, 200 or so texts
and some data. I'm agnostic about sticking with Orange although I do
like the SPV Cxxx phones.

I've had a look at the T-Mobile Flex-T tarrifs but my requirements
seem to fall between the £25/month and £35/month offers.

I currently pay £25/month (+data) and was wondering whether there are
any tarrifs out there with what I want for that sort of price?

TIA

Have you asked Retentions to adjust your deal?

Is the VT500 the one they matched with 3's 500 mins for £25?
What more would retentions "offer" you if you are on 500 mins for
£25/month. It isn't like you would be a high spender but then 25x12 is a
fair bit of pennies in a year ;-)
I am on the 3 match tariff and would like to see what retentions could
offer me but then I don't want to be too greedy. It *is* always nice
when you can get a better tariff each year with any extras thrown in. My
only "extra" is 120 texts. No data bundle.
What are some suggestions to "politely suggest" to them?
Thanks very much.

You'd ask them to offer you the EQ Talk and Text 600 at £30 or the Orange 35
tariff which is a match of Flext 35. Will only offer that though if you
threaten to go to T-Mobile and your CLV (Customer Loyalty Value) is through
the roof (and I *MEAN through the roof).

Simon,

I haven't asked them yet although they're generally reasonably
generous as I'm quite a high spender and am *way* outside of my
contract period (it was up in January of this year). I was just
wondering if there was a tarrif I could ask them to match straight
off. Is it worth asking if they'll just bung some free SMSs on to my
account rather than asking for a price match from a competitor?

Hmmm... I'd thell them that you're interested in T-Mobiles Flext 35 tariff
for £35 that gives £180 of value. Go with that straight off and if they
offer to match it, great. If not, ask them for some free texts to go with
your tariff. Be prepared to commit to 18 months though, and try and get free
broadband out of them at the same time :-)

They did offer that to me before when I asked for an upgrade so that's
a possibility (reverted back to VT500 when I sent back the M600 I'd
ordered). Am interested by the "free" broadband but am a bit put off
by the 2Gb/month bandwidth restriction. Does anyone know the charge
for breaching it?

BTW, does anyone know whether O going to offer the HTC 3G handsets
referred to on the Register yesterday?

Thanks. Was just wondering whether there'd be a per-gig charge like
Virgin.net.
