| I have a two year old Motorola V3x with annoying misfeatures - like
rebooting sometimes after taking a picture, draining the battery in
about a day and a half, not going very loud etc.
Will flashing it with a current firmware help? I'm fine on flashing PC
firmware and happy with electronics at the PIC programmer level, so the
actual idea of it doesn't worry me, but looking at all the forums it's
hard to sort through all the chaff to see what you actually needed to do it.
The tricky bit seems to be choosing which firmware - it's a UK phone,
with Vodaphone. I'm not particularly after adding flashy themes, just
making it work 'better'. There seem to be loads of firmwares out there
with 25 character names but never many clues as to what each one
actually provides...
Any recommendations for a site with good advice on it? How about which
firmware to use?
I've also noticed motorola.co.uk has a software update download
available for in-warranty phones - I may have misclicked the purchase
date box to verify the warranty status ;-) - so is that the best bet for
a 'safe' improved firmware?
Thanks in advance...
