SE K800i - how do I change my phone number
|
|
| Les Desser 2007-11-27, 10:33 pm |
| I got a new phone from T-Mobile and then migrated by old Orange number.
The phone Status still shows my now defunct T-Mobile number. How can I
change it so the phone shows the correct number? (The only way I know
my own number is by looking it up!)
Thank you.

I had that problem, I think I took the battery out and did a power-on reset
and that sorted it.

What is that? I just turned it on again after inserting the battery.

SE phones read the phone number from a file on the SIM card. So what
you see is the number stored in that file.
To alter the number:
Main menu
Contacts
Options
Special numbers
My numbers
enter your number there
Good luck

Interesting, mine managed to fix itself, I've never looked at that menu
until just now.
