They refused payment to my dad because he hadn't sent some extra
documentation as stated in para 11.3 in their terms and conditions, he
checked his contract and his terms and conditions stopped at 11.2.
When he sent proof of this they evenually coughed up the cash he was
owed

That seems to be quite common, they try it on in the hope that you will
just accept that they know what they are doing in refusing the cash
back. It is something that trading standards should be looking in to as
no company should be trying to con its customers in that way.
