Using a Bluetooth headset with Tom tom mobile.
|
|
|
| Can anyone please confirm if the directions given by tom tom mobile can be
played through a bluetooth headset.
I want to be able to use my N73 with tom tom installed to give directions to
the earpiece when I ride my motorbike.
Google has conflicting reports.
Thanks

The TomTom RIDER model can do exactly what you want.

I suggest you also ask this question in uk.rec.gps in case you don't find
phone users of TomTom Navigator in this newsgroup. I'd be amazed if the
spoken sounds did not go to the phone's speaker, and therefore to any
wired or BT headset connected, but I understand your need for reassurance.

I use navigator 5 with a bluetooth headset, and the tomtom sounds go
through the phones speaker, while telephone calls go through the
bluetooth headset.

I understand that some mobile phones can establish and maintain 2 BT
connections (GPS receiver plus headset) while others can not.

Indeed, an my setup is an example of that (bluetooth GPS and headset at
the same time). The point is that I could not get the tomtom audio to go
through the bluetooth headset.

Got it. I didn't realize you has those two connected simultaneously.
