What is this symbol?
|
|
|
| Hi,
The wife's Samsung D900 has come up with a strange symbol today. See
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~jod.../d900symbol.jpg
I've been through the manual and can't find it. Anyone know?
It is a non contract phone with a T-Mobile contract simcard in it if it
makes any difference.

Looks more like an old-fashioned microphone to me... Could be to
indicate voice dialling is active and listening?

I've had a snoop about and from what I gather it is to do with the
answering machine function. Go to messages and have a look see in there

Thanks for all your suggestions. I finally found that her text message
inbox was full. Deleted all and the symbol has gone.
Strange that it is not in the manual though.

I have just got a SE W850i and although the phone comes with two
manuals, one for the phone and one for the Music software, neither of
those manual contain any information regarding what any of the on
screen symbols mean! infact there is hardly anything regarding
anything to do with the display.
Mind you I only received the phone last Tuesday, been playing with the
GPRS/3G Internet via Virgin Mobile and on Friday eveing I received a
text message from Virgin informing me that I was nearly at their
preset monthly credit limit, I use of GPRS/3G was at an alarming £52+!
So I have swapped the SIMS cards in my two phones, my T-Mobile one is
now in W850i and the Virgin mobile one is in my trusty old Samsung.
But when I swapped the SIMS over and put my T-Mobile contract SIM card
in the Ww850i a weird looking symbol appeared on the w850i's screen,
it was a phone (shaped like a corded phones handset) with a red arrow
above it?
Of course as there was no information in the phones instruction
manual, this left me some what perplexed. But on Saturday I had to
call T-Mobile anyway and so I asked the lady what that symbol could be
and she told me is just to let me know that I have got an active
divert (Voicemail) set up!
Best Wishes to one & all,
Gaz.
