I currently have a pay monthly, SIM only*, online business contract
with O2 which currently charges =A311 per month. I don't currently use
my allowance of calls and texts, but I regularly exceed the data
allowance of 0.5Mb per month. I use my phone quite a lot for email and
web browsing and get through between 5 and 10 Mb per month.

I would like to find an alternative/additional contract which would
allow me more data usage than O2's 0.5Mb. The best O2 can offer is a
30Mb bolt-on for =A330 per month which is more than I need and more than
I want to pay!

Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent SIM only contract with
between 5 and 20Mb per month?

*I don't want or need a phone, as my employer keeps me supplied with
regularly updated devices. They also provide SIM cards for testing,
but I want my own contract for personal use.

How about the T-Mobile web n walk offer? For £7.50 on top of monthly price
you get 1Gb of internet.

Minimum web and walk on pay monthly I think is £22.50 and that includes £34
of calling credit.

Yes its more than your basic O2 rental but then I guess the data you use on
O2 ends up being quite costly?

They do a sim only contract for £7.50 a month basic but I don't know if you
can put web and walk on top of that. If you could, then your monthly bill
would only be the £15 which is much more appealing if you do not use the
phone side of things.

As far as I know, the Vodafone charges are just as bad as o2

Something else you can look at it Orange World Access 25 - £16 for 25mb but
I don't know if that has to be added on to a calling plan.

You can add the £12.50 WnW Pro add on to this contract making £20 pm in
total. This allows full internet use with a 3GB "fair use" cap. You can use
it in any phone or data card and it allows use of the phone as a modem
(something not allowed on the basic £7.50 WnW add on).

I'm on SIM only myself.

I think WnW Pro (which I use) is can no longer be added. It was £10 a
month allowing modem use and a 2GB "fair use" cap which. WnW Pro could
only be added or removed by customer services. I had no problems getting
it added but others had some difficulty.

The new WnW bundles can all be added or removed online: I just checked
on "My T-mobile" and there are options to add any of them.

I've asked TMobile whether I can add the WnW to their =A37.50 SIm only
deal, and I'm waiting for their answer.

Nice to see T-mobile CS keeping up the same standards as other networks.
I must be bloody imagining it on my account then. Either that or they
are blocking it for new SIMonly connections.
