Author T-Mobile and 3 offering good data packages - any O2 response?

Hi All,

I am on O2, approaching end of a basic online contract, quite happy with
their service. But not happy with their data charges. Even a paltry 4MB
bolt-on takes me to £24 per month.

T-mobile with W+W gives me the same voice and text, plua up to 1GB of data,
for £22.50.

O2 isn't stupid, and must see that meaningful data packages are becoming
significant. Are there any rumours of O2 coming up with any kind of answer
to T-Mobile or 3 in the next couple of months?

regards,
/alan

I believe "Retentions" will offer something. Nothing on the site
though.

Not yet. As I suggested, wait a few days.

Meantime, chat up either the manager in one of their shops, or someone
at CS who knows something

- which is that something good is coming, but they can't or won't give
details yet

(as discussed on forums elsewhere)
