Although bluetooth is off the damn blue led keeps flashing, is this
fixable in anyway. Also the few pics I've taken are not that great
nothing like the samples I've seen on various reviews etc though these
have only been indoors so far

Flashing bleu to indicate you are in a 3G coverage area maybe?

Blue LED flashes when screen is blank.

The only way I found to turn it off:

Settings/Phone Settings/Display/Sleep mode <OFF>

For the pictures, check you have the image quality settings set to the
highest setting and turn extended digital zoom OFF.

Yeah, the blue flashing light cannot be turned off unfortunately.

Picture quality on mine can be quite impressive outside in the right
lightning conditions (well, near low end digital camera quality) but indoors
and at night the picture quality is not so great.

I originally got the N73 to see if it could replace my digital camera and
MP3 player and it can't! I don't think phones will ever be the killer all in
one device that many of us want.
