Hi, does anyone know if any UK mobileco offers a static IP address
with any of their 3G or GPRS datacard products? Or failing that is
there any third party provider that offers any sort of VPN service
that would allow me to present a static IP from a 3G or GPRS mobile
network?

Thanks in advance for any responses,

I'm assuming it's for a fairly modest amount of data

There's a Vodafone one here; they used to have O2 as well

My understanding is that static ip can be added to voda and o2 sims on
existing accounts, but only to t-mobile sims on new accounts. Not sure
about the situation with Orange.

Very useful for stand-alone pbx systems using premicell type kit for
voice connectivity and 3g routers for internet connectivity.

Also useful for enabling mobile devices to access office intranet
systems requiring static ip for access.
