Hi,

I have a member of staff who is leaving the company and he wants a PAC
code. The problem is that our provider is asking for =A31400 in order to
provide the PAC code!! We are still under contract with them for
another 9 months but are they legally allowed to do this?

thanks
Charlie

Why does he want a PAC? If it's a company phone it's a company number!

You're under contract for 9 months. The £1400 is the 9 months rental
for that phone I expect. Getting a PAC will terminate the contract for
that number, hence wanting the money up front. There may be other fees
in there (eg. lost commission etc), I don't know what your line rental is.

Hi Charlie

You've probably thought of this, but to me it sounds as if your member
of staff could be the leader in a sharer tariff?

Eg to buy out a leader on Orange Business Plus 2000 =3D =A3160 x 9 =3D =A31=
440
to buy out a sharer on Orange Business Plus 2000 =3D =A317max x 9 =3D
=A3153max

Some providers will allow you to move the leader, then buyout at
sharer rate.
