Author m--99.co.uk Are they any good?

Just wanted to air my concerns about this company (see other posts).
Their problems are ongoing and recurrent.

Despite ordering for a specific model, the charger I bought did not fit
and was incomplete. In itself not a big deal, mistakes happen. What
differentiates good from bad icompanies is how these problems are dealt
with. Like all of the other posts by m-99 customers, I too sent
multiple emails which were/are being all ignored. I'm trying to follow
this up now...

There are plenty of other companies out there - use one of them
instead.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WWW.M-99.CO.UK .....

I'll post again if the problem is fixed*....

*I don't hold out much hope...

An email goes a long way explaining this then. The guy is a complete prick,
with a severe attitude problem. You've got to remember, you're doing *him* a
favour shopping at this shitty attrociously-designed website.

All that for a lens replacement....why bother, use ebay or some such - just
not m99.

Agreed. Although I have been pleased with some things I bought from
them years ago, two items were useless, and one was the wrong thing
altogether. IME you can forget about getting them replaced when that
happens.

I once had the temerity to suggest that we could redesign their
website, and got a very rude reply that said they liked it as it is.
I'm not saying it's the worst website on the net, but it is a
contender.

There are plenty of other companies, but which to choose?

I'd really like to find a supplier of good quality replacement
batteries. Can anyone suggest one?

Oh, and beware that m-99 have lots of aliases - different company
names and web addresses - but it's easy to detect them: all their
websites are as awful as one another.

I used:
http://www.batteryupgrade.com/

Seemingly registered in The Netherlands ...goods are shipped direct
from Hong Kong and priced in Euro (!). Goods arrived within a few
days with no customs problems. Prices include shipping.

M99 rarely use photographs of their own products, they use photographs
belonging to other companies such as Litewave and ICELED.

For example they are using photos of an ICELED UFO installed on a car
to sell their poor imitation kit from China. Customers purchase these
kits expecting the same results. This of course is illegal and is known
as "passing off".

If you have bought items from any company in the U.K that has "passed
off" or used misleading photos to sell you one of their products they
are breaking the law and you are completely protected. Our advise is to
contact trading standards immediately.

My advice (note the spelling) is to identify yourself if you're going to
post stuff like that. Otherwise people might think you a disgruntled
punter or similar.

M-99.co.uk 10 emails and 7 telephone calls (just answering machine)
never one reply to the fact that the phone battery I bought is useless,
the advertising is a total disgrace and incorrect, fooling customers
right down the line. Companies like this should be shut down and whoever
is pocketing all our money, put in prison. Beware folks!!!
