Author Nokia 6230i memory reformat

My trusty Nokia 6230i had not been so trusty lately with applications
(opera mini in particular) getting buggy and crashing with
out-of-memory messages (there is lots free).

It's an Orange version with 3.30 firmware.

I think the user memory area needs reformatting . Will the phone's
"reset" option do this? I guess I'll lose all my phone numbers etc but
it's getting unacceptable now.

I have a data cable for the phone if an app is needed to do it.

If you have a windows machine why not use 'Nokia PC Suite' to back up
your phone before you do anything.

Yes, I wil do this but am worried it might restore the fragmented
memory problem too.
