| Hopefully someone can answer this :)
I wanted to transfer fro tesco PAYG to O2 Contract ... so I obtained a
PAC Code and gave it to O2 at the time of connection.
All was well for 3 days, then all of a sudden my new O2 contract
mobile got disconnected (turns out someone at O2 disconnected the
number in error). After 48hrs they managed to reconnect me ... but
I'm stuck in a kind of limbo with the number port ...
The number I wanted to keep is stil working (partially) on Tesco ... I
can receive calls ok & texts ok .. cannot send texts though, and god
knows who is paying for the calls .. Tesco insist my account has been
ceased with them, and the number is showing as exported.
O2 (who I'm slowly getting very frustrated with) cannot tell me when
the incoming port will take place, only that there are problems !!!
So - my question is .. if I cancel the new contract within 14 days and
return the handset to the shop - can I request a PAC code from O2 to
release the number that 'should' be with them ? Thinking I might just
stay with Tesco PAYG ..
Only went with O2 because their £7.50 'unlimited' web browsing deal
suits me ...
Thanks
Jim!

Tesco are virtual on O2, hence probably the problems above, although their
standards of customer service are well reported on this group!
